Programs
The Hills and Falls Nursery School program begins for preschoolers who have reached 2 years, 9 months of age by September 30 and extends through the transitional Pre-K year (age 5+). Hills and Falls offers three classes: Bunnies (3 year olds); Dinosaurs (4 year olds); and Rainbows (5 year olds). All classes meet 5 days per week, 9 AM-12 PM. We believe a 5 day schedule enables children to become quickly acclimated to school, to adopt a consistent routine in their lives, and to fully engage in the richness and continuity of the curriculum. Extra Care services (i.e., early drop-off and extended day) are offered for all age groups (enrollment dependent).

WELCOME TO ENRICHMENT STAY DAYS 2015-16
“YOU’LL NEVER WANT TO PICK YOUR CHILD UP AT NOON AGAIN!”
Each day of the week is built around a lesson plan designed to build upon the core curriculum and provide additional enrichment. Whether you have a bunny, dino or rainbow, these after school enrichment programs are designed to support the developmental needs of your child.
Here is the tentative line up of Enrichment Programs for 2015-2016 so you can start to think about what day(s) you want your child to stay. We encourage you to contract easy, as many days this year we reached capacity quickly.
2015/2016 Schedule:
“Book It” Monday - A literacy based program that takes reading to the next level. Activities provided throughout the classroom areas solidify and extend the book text
“Cooking with Becky” Tuesdays- Our young chefs cut, chop, measure and mix their way to delicious and nutritious afternoon treats…whole fruit parfaits, homemade Hummus and pita chips and whole grain chocolate chip granola bars, there is something for everyone’s taste!
Game Day Wednesdays - Games can vary from using our brains while playing “Zingo”, “Don’t Break the Ice” and “Tic Tac Toe” to using our large muscles with traditional gross motor games such as Basketball, Soccer and Twister.
Pop Up Thursdays - These activities are STEM based (science, technology, engineering and math). Children will engage in activities that include architectural design and science experimentation. All activities are thought provoking and very hands on.
Fun Fridays- Fun and engaging themes for each Fun Friday will announced in advance. Past Fun Friday theme favorites have been Super Hero Day, Let it Grow/Gardening, Luau, and Teddy Bear Picnic. Make and take home activities are always a must for these super Fun Friday afternoons
*Drama Enrichment days are in development and will be worked into the schedule at the discretion of the teachers.
